LE SSERAFIM (Hangul: 르세라핌; Romanization: leuserapim) is a 5 member girl group from SOURCE MUSIC, a subsidiary of HYBE Entertainment.
The group’s name holds a dual meaning: it is an anagram of “I’M FEARLESS” – “The name captures the group’s self-confidence and iron will as they go out into the world fearlessly and unwavering before the watchful eyes of the world.“[x] – as well as a reference to the biblical Seraphim, a heavenly celestial being.
Their fandom name is “FEARNOT” (피어나), another dual meaning: in Korean, read as pieona, it means to bloom, and in English, and to live without fear.
The group also has their own Webtoon, called “Crimson Heart”, currently in the works.
Three members – Sakura, Chaewon, and Yunjin – competed on MNet’s Produce 48, with the former two debuting as part of the group IZ*ONE.
They debuted on 2 May 2022.
